CILIP Carnegie Shortlist announced!

On Tuesday 15th March, the shortlist for this year's prestigious CILIP Carnegie Medal book award was announced. The following eight books make up the shortlist. As you can see, the list includes the verse-novel One, which Sarah Crossan discussed on her recent visit:

 

Year 7 and 8 Book Clubs will now be 'shadowing' the Carnegie Shortlist in the run-up to Monday 20th June 2016 when the winner of the award is announced .  Along with thousands of 'shadowers' in reading groups across the country, the Beaumont students will read, review and discuss the eight books, with the help of online activities on the CILIP website. Shadowing is a fantastic way to explore and share the books on the shortlist. If you are interested in joining the Book Clubs and being a shadower, please speak to the library team.
