Jonathan Stroud

9th October 2015: Year 7 students enjoyed an amazing talk from author Jonathan Stroud. He held his audience captive as he discussed his new Lockwood & Co series where all nature of ghosts, haunts and spirits take over London.

“Not only is the author an amazing writer, but also incredibly funny. When he read out a page from “The Screaming Staircase”, he did it with such expression that it immediately drew me in. He knew just how to keep our concentration.” (Katie)

“The author visit was an inspirational experience for me and everyone in year seven! It was amazing to talk to a real author! I have never read ghost stories before, but now I am reading the first book in the Lockwood series and so far it’s brilliant.” (Jasmine)
