Book Club trip

"On Thursday 2nd October, year 7 book club went on an amazing, inspirational trip to the wonders of Haileybury school grounds - beautiful and dazzling. Mrs Mayer-Khan had been planning this trip for a while and thus, we had the best experience ever.

At 8:40 AM we met up to board the bus to Haileybury.  But, after a mishap concerning Charlie and thirst we had to leave at 9:00.

 Arriving at the dazzling school, we took some time to take in our surroundings... we entered the building.

We were seeing the author Alex Scarrow, author of the bestselling Time Rider series.  His appearance really shocked me: really cool clothes and an amazing personality!

He talked about his background and that's when I realised we're like twins!  He loves music - he was in a band.  He had a game design job and he loves writing.  What could be better!

After dozens of selfies, signings and blowing all the money we had, we got on the bus and headed back to school.

That was one of the best school trips in my life..."
