Sarah Crossan - by invitation only

The library team is very excited to announce that award-winning young adult (YA) fiction writer Sarah Crossan will return to Beaumont on Thursday 2nd March as part of our celebrations for World Book Day 2017. Sarah is the author of Apple and Rain, our whole school read in 2015. Students will remember when Sarah visited the school last year and gave an incredibly entertaining and inspiring talk on her love of books and the power of poetry.

In October 2016, Sarah received the prestigious Carnegie Medal book award for her verse-novel One. The Carnegie judging panel said the book is "deeply moving, beautifully observed, unusual but perfectly crafted – the sort of book that will stay with the reader long after the final page.”

Sarah's visit will take place after lunch in the hall. In order to tie the visit into our current whole school read, this event will only be open to students who have read and reviewed Counting by 7s by Holly Goldberg Sloan. If you would like to meet Sarah, there is still time to read the book and get your name onto the guest list!

We have lots of copies of Counting by 7s in the library, plus all Sarah Crossan's YA titles.
